What is the Mainstream Housing Voucher Program?
These vouchers are used to serve a special population. Mainstream vouchers assist non-elderly persons with disabilities who are between the ages of 18 – 61.
Who is eligible?
The eligibility requirements are that the family:
Must meet Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program eligibility requirements including income eligibility and criminal background.
Must include at least one person with a disability between the ages of 18-61. A person with a disability is a person with any condition or characteristic that renders a person an individual with a disability as defined by HUD.
Applicants must be registered on the HCV waiting list.
Referral from Community Partners must include a referral letter for those coming with a homeless preference.
