The Section 8 Mainstream Housing Voucher Program’s waitlist is currently closed. We are required to advertise 45 days prior to opening the list so be sure to check this website every 30 days for any possible updates.

What is the Mainstream Housing Voucher Program?

These vouchers are used to serve a special population. Mainstream vouchers assist non-elderly persons with disabilities who are between the ages of 18 – 61.

Who is eligible?

The eligibility requirements are that the family:
  • Must meet Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program eligibility requirements including income eligibility and criminal background.
  • Must include at least one person with a disability between the ages of 18-61. A person with a disability is a person with any condition or characteristic that renders a person an individual with a disability as defined by HUD.
  • Applicants must be registered on the HCV waiting list.
  • Referral from Community Partners must include a referral letter for those coming with a homeless preference.
