How to apply for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waitlist:

Home page – Flagler / Clay County Housing Authority is NOT accepting applications for Section 8 (the Housing Choice Voucher Program) at this time. Please visit our website monthly to check the status. You can only apply when the waitlist is open and right now it’s closed.

Applications can be accessed online and must be submitted online at https://flaglercofl.housingmanager.com/ or the link may be accessed through our website at: http://flaglercountyhousingauthority.org and click on Applicant Portal. 

Applications can only be provided online or by advanced written request to the Flagler County Housing Authority, P.O. Box 188, Bunnell, FL 32110-0188. Paper applications are offered as a Reasonable Accommodation for elderly and disabled applicants only with verification of current Social Security income (letter must be dated within 60 days) and current ID. 

Once the waiting list is closed, applicants will be placed in ranking order according to date and time of application.

ACCESS TO INTERNET AND COMPUTERS

To ensure availability and access to the online system, the Flagler County Housing Authority will have 2 computers available at our Flagler Office Resource Center, 502 South Bacher St., Bunnell, FL 32110 from 8:30am-10:30am.

What is Section 8?

Section 8 is a voucher housing program that allows you to find your own place to live and you can use the voucher to pay for all or part of the rent. There are several different types of housing programs that fall under our Section 8 Program.
Our Section 8 programs are administered in both Flagler and Clay County and they are as follows:

MAXIMUM RENT:
The maximum rent the PHA will pay on a particular unit is determined by applying a rent reasonableness test. The rent being charged in an assisted unit is compared to the rent being charged in an unassisted unit.
